Course Information

Rise and Shine

This course is designed to get your morning off in a real positive way in body, mind, and soul.

Being organised, and prepared in the body and mind helps you organse your day to flow with more ease.

Preparing your body reducing aching and stiffness throughout the day.

Foundation Courses

This course focuses on all the Iyengar Foundation poses to help you learn more so you can understand your body and build strength and stamina.

The building blocks to help you progress in all areas of your health and wellbeing.

You will need a mat and it is useful to have a stool or chair, blanket, 4 yoga blocks and 2 yoga bricks.

This course can also be bought as monthly membership and secures your place for 12 months. You receive a discount doing it this way. check out the packages option

Yoga for the stiffer body

This course is designed for the stiffer person, and done at a slower pace.

Join me in the comfort of your own home to work on mobilising and strengthening your body, building a practice of Iyengar Yoga

You will need a mat and it is useful to have a stool or chair, blanket. If possible also blocks and yoga bricks.

This course can also be bought as monthly membership and secures your place for 12 months. You receive a discount doing it this way. check out the packages option.

Intermediate Course

Intermediate courses are for the regular practitioner who can do inverted work and has an established practice of 3 years minimum.

Must have all required equipment including a bolster.

Mixed Ability

This mixed ability course is for practitioners who have already completed a foundation course and in the early days of practice or can do inversions

    Following an accident where I injured my shoulder and arm quite badly I was looking for a yoga class in Chorley which would help me recover my flexibility and strength. I was lucky enough to find Janine at the Yoga Place North.

    I started off with a personal coaching session, 121 yoga with Janine. She used her expert knowledge to give specific guidance to address my injury and pain, adaptations to the yoga poses, the motivation to improve and the reassurance that I’d overcome my pain and limited movement.

    I signed up for her beginners yoga class which has been amazing, the Iyengar Yoga has improved my awareness of my body and yoga practise and I can’t believe the improvement in just 12 weeks. I’ve done all my sessions online and love the balance of being able to practise my yoga in my own space whilst knowing that Janine has her eye on my safety and technique.

    In addition to all of this I’ve become a member of Janine’s Soul Transformation Tribe Facebook group. It’s a friendly and welcoming community of like minded people, with free meditations, yoga tips and inspiration from Janine (and the occasional special guest!)

    If you are looking to relieve pain, gain flexibility, improve strength, or build on your yoga technique then I recommend Janine at Yoga Place North. Investing in your health is one of the most important investments you’ll make… you won’t look back.

    I started Yoga during lockdown having no previous experience at all.
    Since then I have joined the Academy membership scheme doing yoga 3 times per week plus meditation when I can. I absolutely love it.
    Janine is a superb teacher! She explains everything very clearly and is so informative, not only about the body structures but also the benefits Yoga has on your physical and mental wellbeing.
    I have also been on a weekend retreat which was amazing. Being in a beautiful setting with like minded people was so enjoyable.
    My only wish is that I had met Janine and started my yoga journey years ago.
